4th of July Kite Flying Contest, 7 p.m. at the Moorlyn Terrace Beach opposite the Music Pier, sponsored by Air Circus. Entry free followed by entertainment on the Boardwalk.

A Spectacular Musical Fireworks display, ignited from a barge off the Music Pier at 9th St. Beach, will begin at 9:30 p.m. Longport Media will simulcast July 4th fireworks music on KOOL 98.3, 1400 AM WOND,  1490 AM WIP, stream it live on its website and on the TUNE in Smart Phone application.

(July 5) The First Ladies of Rock and Soul will entertain at the Music Pier at 7:30 p.m. for the benefit of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. (July 6) The Tabernacle Youth Concert is set for 7 p.m. at the Music Pier featuring CoastalRise with Benjamin Dunn and the Animal Orchestra plus the Glenn Taylor Band. (July 7) THE OCEAN CITY FISHING CLUB continues a series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of its founding with the first of three planned open houses, 3-5 p.m. Visitors are invited to tour the Pier and its Club House at 14th and Boardwalk. A light hearted comedy set in 1920's Hollywood when a movie studio attempted to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent film star.
