Ocean City Indian Summer Weekend Block Party
(Oct. 12) The 39th annual block party will be held from 5th to 14th Sts. on Asbury Ave. on Sat. Over 350 juried crafters from throughout the east coast participate in the block party. An array of hand made products will be featured. Block Party hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A huge fireworks display is scheduled following the block party. The fireworks are fired from a barge off the 9th St. Beach at 9:30 p.m. There will be entertainment on the boardwalk all evening prior to the fireworks. There are free pony rides for children at the Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury Ave., from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be Public service displays for non-profit organizations off Asbury Ave. to Central Ave. Parking will be free on city lots and streets from Wesley Ave. to the bridge. Meters will be working and there will be a charge after Wesley Ave. to the Boardwalk.
(Oct. 11-13) Also during the Block Party Weekend, the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will present a musical tribute to FRANK SINATRA, a song and dance revue featuring 53 of his most popular songs. The program features talented, professional performers. It's set for the Moorlyn Theatre, Oct. 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 13 at

(Oct 12) Stephen Serwatka again presents his "New Jersey Nature" program, 1 p.m. at the Bayside Center, between 5th and 6th Streets on Bay Ave. This educational program enables the public to have a fun and an educational experience with non releasable wild and tame domestic animals. It is a rare opportunity to see these animals up close in a relaxed atmosphere. Steve answers questions "from the curious minds" he encounters. Free admission. Sponsored by the Gardens Civic Assn.
