On Fri., Aug. 30, a group of "right proper ploppers" will vie for the title of the King and Queen of Plop or Mr. Fall Guy or Miss Fall Gal. After the winner is announced contestants hold hands and perform a "mass plopping" as a goodwill, no sore loser gesture. Contestants may register starting 10:30 a.m. at 9th St. Beach. Contest starts at 11 a.m. Entry is free and prizes are awarded. Anyone who would like to make a name for him or herself in the discipline of plopping is invited to enter.
