On May 31st, Ocean City High School students were honored recently with a NATAS for Best Newscast. This is like winning a TV Emmy or state sports championship. The High School will present its First Annual Media Festival at the Hughes Performing Arts Center , 6th and Atlantic Ave. on May 31st at 7 p.m. It will include a number of short films and segments produced by the award winning high school TV and Media classes. Tickets are $5 at the door. Businesses can help sponsor the students with a $50 donation. This sponsorship gets the business name on the program and two tickets to the show. On June 2nd, The Cape Shore Chorale presents GLORIA EXPLOSION directed by Scott J. Briener featuring music from Mozart to "Jazz Gloria" by Rob Landes, 3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 30th and Bay Ave. Admission is free. The Choral will be joined by the Young Cape Singers directed by Julia Henrich.

First Annual Beach Adventure Race begins 7:30am at 4th St. beach. Race includes a sand obstacle course for adults and a fun sand challenge run for kids under 10. Event will also highlight a Stand Up Paddle Ocean Challenge (SUP). Festivities and race event will begin and end at 4th Street Beach.
